Does my child need to know how to swim freestyle to join the swim team?
No! Your child only needs to be able to swim 15 yards independently to join the swim team. The coaches will teach the strokes!
Does my child need to come to practice every day?
No! You can come to as many or as few practices as you wish. But the more practices your swimmer attends, the more improvement you will see!
Does my child have to compete in meets?
We encourage swimmers to participate in meets but they are not required.
What is the requirement for participation in the Championship meet?
In order for a child to swim at Champs, they must attend at least two regular season dual meets.
What are the age groups for competition?
Age groups at meets are: 6&under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-18. Your swimmer will be classified by their age as of June 1, 2023.
Do I have to purchase a team suit or cap?
No, team suits and caps are optional, though you may not wear another team’s logo during meets. Information regarding suit purchase will be emailed out in April. Caps will be available for purchase at practice.
What size suit should I order for my swimmer?
We will have a swim suit try-on in early May! Please stay tuned for more details!
